How to share network resources

Share resources on the network is essential in any system network. However, depending on the intended use, administrators install the system accordingly.


For example, sales staff only access network of room sales, technical staff only access network of the technical room.

Sharing and Security features will help you solve this problem.

Prepare:

- 2 Computer:
+ PC 01 Windown Server 2008
+ PC 02 Windown Server 2008

- PC 01 creat 02 account U1 & U2 with password is: 123

- Creat folder THUCHANH in driver C. In the folder THUCHANH creat 2 folder is: DULIEU & BIMAT

- The folders creat file thuchanh.txt with any content.

- Open Windows Explore choose Tool --> choose Folder Options --> choose View and uncheck before User Sharing Wizard.

- Off Firewall on 2 PC, UAC and program Virut. Check network transmission line by command "Ping".

Performing:

1. Share a folder.

B1: Access to the root of drive C, choose folder DULIEU. Click right mouse on folder DULIEU and choose Share.

B2: Creat Tab Share Click for Advanced Sharing...

- Tick check for Share this folder and click Permission.

In Group or User names, choose Everyone.  In Permission for Everyone, choose Allow full control and click OK.

B3: In PC 02 choose Menu Start and choose Run. Input: //PC01 click OK.

In dialog box requires authentication when logging and input user name: U1 and Password 123.

Log on compelete will see folder DULIEU.

2. Share offline a folder.

Performing on PC 01:
B1: Click right mouse on folder BIMAT and choose Share.

B2: In Tab Sharing Click, choose Advanced Sharing...

- Tick Check for Share this folder.

- In share name, add BIMAT$ and click Permissions.

In dialog box Permissions for DULIEU, choose Everyone of Group or user names and choose Allow full control of Permission for Everyone.

B3: On PC 02 choose menu Start, choose Run and input \\PC01\BIMAT$ and input user name: U1 and passwords: 123 and click OK. You will log on complete.

3. Share a folder with more name.

B1: Click right mouse on folder DULIEU and choose Share, choose Advanced Sharing. Click Add.

B2: In tab New share, input DULIEU_KETOAN in frame share name. Click OK.

B3: Check dialog box Advanced Sharing, frame "Share name" have 2 names: DULIEU & DULIEU_KETOAN.

4. Input driver network to log on share folders.

B1: Share folder TAILIEU on driver C.

B2: Click folder TAILIEU and choose Tool. Choose Map network driver...

- Driver: input name's driver.

- Folder: input \\name PC\ name folder share. After that choose  Finish.

B3: Open Windows Explore and check had driver network DULIEU(W).

5. Manage Share Resources.

Click right mouse on symbol Computer outside Desktop. Choose Manage --> choose Role --> choose  file services --> choose share and storage management. See right column, the datas has share on computer.
